What We Do

We've been working with some of the major networks and production companies all around the world, providing subtitling services in Turkish, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese for TV series, feature films, cartoons, documentaries, game shows, reality programs and talk shows, both scripted and non-scripted. So far, we have successfully delivered more than 10.000 subtitle files, always ahead of schedule.

Altyazar works with major networks and production companies, providing them professional subtitling and translation services in seven languages for movies, TV programs, TV series, TV spots, commercial videos, corporate videos and various types of multimedia content.

Translation
All of our translators are native speakers of the language they are translating into. They are also fluent in English and understand the nuances of the language for precise and insightful translations. We choose the translator best qualified for each different project, who has expert knowledge in the field.

Spotting
Spotting is the first step in creating good subtitling. We spot directly from film release prints or videocassettes with time code. The exact transcription of dialogue is synchronized to the running time of the picture. A video simulation with subtitles can be made to check the spotting for accuracy.

Proofreading
Proofreading is done by our qualified proofreaders and editors who are native speakers of the language of the project in question. Fact-checking and research is done thoroughly, using the best available and most reliable resources, keeping in mind the specific content and the context of the material. Expert opinions are referred to when necessary. As well as eliminating errors in punctuation and the chunking of the subtitles, spell checking is also done at this stage to avoid any spelling mistakes.

Quality Check
After the proofreading process, a final quality check is done to make sure that the final product is of best possible quality. This process includes a final viewing of the product, in order to eliminate any possible errors.

Exporting
Subtitles are either embedded in the video or delivered in the format requested.
